Wrapped Up in Each Other

This couple has come a long way. From the bride saying, "I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole" to "I do."

I've known this couple for years. Since they were children and it was such a pleasure and delight to see them as a couple and to be a part of their wedding day. Katie was absolutely stunning and Zach was sooo handsome. They clean up good! Both took big steps and changes in their lives to be together. Growing in their faith, Purchasing their first home. Becoming fur baby parents and finding that together was written for them a long time ago.

I always love seeing a groom's face when he sees his bride for the first time. In this case Zach did not disappoint. There were no tears, but their was definitely a struggle to bring his breathing under control. His grin, his look of awe... it was perfect.

Their wedding parties were the ones every photographer loves. Note to all future groomsmen, see the pic with the ring? This is what I want. Check out the bridesmaids cheering on their sister, even though it looks like two of them might be getting ready to bop our bride on the head. So much fun and laughter. I loved every moment of it.

I was thrilled when I asked Katie and Zach if at the reception I could do a pic I'd never done before. I wanted to wrap them up in Christmas lights since their wedding was one week before Christmas. They were excited to try something new too. So Zach threw his bride over his should. Yes, he picked her up and slung her, gown and all, over his shoulder and carried her outside into the cold winter night, and we captured a little bit of magic.

Congrats to this beautiful couple. I can't wait to see all the wonderful things God has in store for you. Hugs you two!
