Invest in the Photographer you Love!

Updated: Feb 9, 2023

One of the biggest investments on your wedding day should be your photographer. I know! Hear me out!

Your photographer is literally with you from the time you:

  • Book

  • Consultation visits

  • An engagement session if you're doing that and edits (1-2 hours for the session, and depending on where you're at 1 hour to 5 hours (round trip travel time) 15 mins loading images and backups, sneak peek #1, blog post for a sneak peek #2, 2-5 hours editing, 30-45 minutes to load gallery)

  • Working with you to plan your timeline (Anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on back and forth)

  • Laying out your family portrait list. (About 30 mins-1 hour again depending on back and forth)

  • And the times they check in with you along the way to your day

And these are the things they are doing with you and don't include all the things behind the scenes: putting together posing ideas, checking out the venue, and preparing equipment.

Your photographer is with you (again literally) from the start of your actual day

  • Travel time (1 hour to 5 hours (round trip) depending on Columbia, Missouri, St. Louis, or Kansas City)

  • Getting ready moments

  • Wedding party portraits

  • Those solo images

  • The time with just you two

  • Ceremony

  • Family portraits

  • Through the most important parts of your reception

Then after the wedding:

  • 1-2 hours loading images and backups

  • 1-2 hours culling photos

  • Sneak peeks

  • Blog posts

  • 5-10 hours of editing depending on hours in your wedding day

  • 1-2 hours loading and setting up your gallery

  • 1 hour laying out your album

  • Then the long-anticipated delivery of your gallery, prints, or albums

And the really big thing: These are the portraits you'll have for the rest of your lives! ❤️😍

This will be the biggest and longest relationship of your wedding planning process that carries out up to, during, and after your wedding day. It's an investment that's worth it. Hugs!
