A Military Love Story Full of Heart, Heat & Celebration
On June 21, 2025, a day as hot as it was unforgettable, and the perfect setting for a love story years in the making. Claire and Colin, both proudly serving in the U.S. Army, tied the knot surrounded by their favorite people, honoring both tradition and joy in every moment of their incredible day.

The morning began in O'Fallon, Illinois, where anticipation filled the air. Claire got ready on the second floor of the Drury Inn and Suites with her bridesmaids, mom, and flower girl in a light-filled suite that buzzed with excitement. Her gown was nothing short of breathtaking, a beaded corset bodice, full bell skirt, and a train that floated like a dream. When her mom helped her into the dress, it was a quiet, emotional moment, the kind of mother-daughter memory that stays tucked in your heart forever.

Downstairs, the guys had their own kind of magic happening. Colin and his groomsmen laughed their way through a lively pocket square-folding session in a conference room-turned-dressing room. Let’s just say everyone left with a new trick up their sleeve (literally).

Before the ceremony, Claire shared a first look with her father, and it was one of the most emotional moments of the day. Watching him fight back tears at the sight of his daughter, radiant and ready, was a reminder of just how much love surrounded this couple.

The ceremony took place at the awe-inspiring Cathedral of Saint Peter in Belleville, Illinois. As Claire walked down the aisle, Colin’s reaction said it all. His breath caught, his heart full. Their vows echoed through the grand cathedral, sealing a lifelong promise in a place filled with truth and beauty.

After the ceremony, the couple emerged hand-in-hand to cheers and celebration. A traditional military saber arch send-off greeted them on the cathedral steps, a fitting tribute to their service and love. And if that wasn’t enough to give you chills, the WWII Jeep waiting just beyond the arch surely did. Owned by Claire’s dad, the vintage ride whisked them away in true storybook fashion.

Portraits with family and the wedding party followed before Claire, Colin, and their crew boarded the party bus and headed for Forest Park in St. Louis. We stopped at Art Hill, where the couple embraced a (hilarious and sweet) “Titanic moment” — this time, with Colin doing the flying! Cue the music, feel the breeze, and you’ll see why it was such a standout moment.

Then it was off to the Jewel Box, where the shade was a welcome friend. We grabbed more wedding party and couple portraits surrounded by lush greens and golden light, a perfect balance to the summer heat.

The celebration continued at The Scott Event Center on Scott Air Force Base in Belleville. And when we say this group came to party… they really came to party. From the moment the doors opened, the energy never dipped. Claire and Colin’s first dance to “L-O-V-E” was unforgettable, full of spins, dips, and the kind of playful moves that make you smile days later.

From start to finish, their day was filled with heartfelt tradition, contagious laughter, and deep love. Claire and Colin, thank you for your service, and thank you for letting us be part of a day that was nothing short of legendary.
