Jana + Travis

It's always an honor to be asked to be a part of a couple's wedding day, but when it's a couple in your own backyard, that feeling is even more so. That was the case with Jana and Travis. They are an absolutely lovely couple, kind and loving to each other and to everyone who's a part of their lives.

Everyone really came together to make sure these two had the perfect day. The weather was gorgeous and everything set up at The Atrium at 10th and Walnut in Columbia, Missouri was spectacular, mostly in part to Jana's beloved Aunt Rhonda. There were so many wonderful stations and fun picture moments set up across the Atrium that Jennifer, Charming Hearts second shooter, and I were checking in with each other to make sure we captured every one of those detail moments and that we didn't miss anything.

I've known Jana since she was a pre-teen. Always sweet and kind and each one of her bridesmaids will tell you the same things. These ladies rallied around their bride, making sure she had the best day. Their love, laughter, and support was something seen and felt.

We captured gorgeous images and definitely some fun ones with the help of elegant furniture from Pretty Little Things out of Boonville, Missouri.

Travis surrounded himself with a great group of guys, mostly made up of Matts. Okay, there were only two Matts, but these guys all had a great time together. Even when someone missed the memo on what color shoes all the guys were supposed to be wearing.

Something I learned while shooting this couple's engagement session and it was no different on their wedding day, Travis loves to kiss Jana, which made me the perfect photographer. I gave him plenty of opportunities. At one point when we were photographing their couple's moment, the videographer, Tyler, Tygr Creative, and I just started taking pictures of all the antics between the two of them. The beeps, bops, pokes, sharing a breakfast burrito like Lady and the Tramp. Some truly great moments.

So many people showed up for one of the biggest days in this young couple's lives and this group knows how to dance and party, as the excitement carried over into the reception. Love that Jennifer and I got to be the ones to capture it all. I pray for countless blessings in your marriage.
