Kyle and Andrea are the kind of couple you love. Not only are they kind, and loving, but they're willing to have fun with their portraits and play a few games. Both are teachers. Andrea, est professeur de français. That said, Andrea is a French teacher and Kyle teaches Mathematics. This means they get to have Summers off together. Not a bad deal!
We began our day at the Courtyard Marriott in Columbia, MO where Andrea and her bridesmaids were preparing for the big day, along with Andrea's Mom, Tammy. The joy this Momma had for her daughter was seen and felt. Every smile and look she gave Andrea was filled with love and tremendous happiness.
One of my favorite moments was between Andrea and her bridesmaids as they took a moment before getting into gowns to have a celebratory shake. A Grimace shake isn't restricted to just McDonald's. It's now a special part of their bachelorette trips and the wedding day itself. They toasted and drank the purple shake and maybe we toasted Grimace too.
Kyle was the perfect groom. There for his family, as his Mom took part in special moments with her son, and then as we moved over to Stephens Lake Park. The joy when he saw Andrea for the first time.... if it hadn't already been a sunny day, his smile would have lit the park.
During this particular weekend, Summer let her heat waves flow as it was pushing a heat index of 100 degrees. Everyone who gathered for pictures, wedding parties, and family was all smiles, drank plenty of water, and surrounded Andrea and Kyle with lots of laughter and encouragement.
What a great day to be a part of just the beginning of Kyle and Andrea's love story. I left feeling a little bit burned from the heat and sun but with a lot of wistful joy in my heart. Thank you to you both and the whole family. Hugs!
