Ryan + Jamie

April is a month known for its blossoming beauty, and this year, it graced Jamie and Ryan’s wedding day with perfect weather at the picturesque Columbia Country Club in Columbia, Missouri. As the trees in the early stages of blooming and the sun shone brightly, the atmosphere was set for a day full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Jamie and Ryan's paths crossed in High School, but their love story began when Ryan showed up in Jamie's dating app, and she decided to swipe right! Yes! And it changed their lives forever and brought them to April 12, 2025, when they would be saying "I do," surrounded by the unwavering support of their loving parents, family, and friends, the couple embarked on a journey that culminated in a stunning wedding celebration.

Ryan looked dapper in his blue suit, a perfect complement to the vibrant spring backdrop. Meanwhile, Jamie radiated beauty in her delicate white gown, which sparkled in the sunlight. The showstopper of her ensemble was undoubtedly her hot pink shoes, adding a playful pop of color that embodied her joyful spirit.

AND let's not forget some of the details. That bouquet Ryan is holding in his hand in the pic above, as well as all the boutonnieres, centerpieces, and every other flower in their wedding day, all of the flowers were made by the bride. Dyed, dried, and twisted into flowers.... from coffee filters!! Bowled over. How amazing is that?

The day kicked off with a series of emotional and heartwarming "first looks." The bridesmaids were the first to witness Jamie in her bridal glory, and their reactions were filled with excitement and joy. However, it was the moment when Jamie and Ryan saw each other that truly took this photographer's breath away. Their love was palpable, and the anticipation built up to their wedding day melted away in that magical instant.

From there, we got to do one of my favorite things. You think it's going to be taking pics, which of course it is, but we got to grab and head out on golf carts and with our guide, Devin, Columbia Country Club's most awesome Director of Events, who took us to some of the club's most picturesque spots. I just love driving a golf cart! Love it!

One of the most touching moments came when Jamie shared her first look with her father. As he laid eyes on his daughter as a bride, he burst into tears, and it was a moment that left many in attendance, including James, Jennifer, and me, reaching for tissues. The love between a father and daughter shone brightly that day, encapsulating the emotional essence of a celebration.

The ceremony itself was beautifully officiated by Ryan's cousin, who set a warm and personal tone while Jamie and Ryan shared vows they'd written for each other. As Jamie and Ryan sealed their love with a kiss, cheers erupted from family and friends, their voices echoing across the lush green of the golf course. It was a moment of pure bliss, one that would forever be etched in the hearts of all present.

As the sun began to set, the reception transformed into a lively celebration. Jamie and Ryan shared their first dance as a married couple, showcasing their chemistry with flourishes and moves that had everyone cheering. The joy in the room was contagious, as laughter and love filled the air. The cake cutting was a sweet affair, with the couple sharing a slice and smiles all around.

Heartfelt speeches from the father of the bride, best man, and maid of honor resonated throughout the evening, each sharing cherished memories and well wishes for the couple's future. These moments of connection and reflection brought everyone closer together, solidifying the bonds of friendship and family.

As the night progressed, the dance floor became a whirlwind of celebration. Friends and family joined in, dancing and rejoicing in honor of Jamie and Ryan's new chapter. The atmosphere was electric, a perfect end to a beautiful spring wedding day.

In the end, Jamie and Ryan's wedding at the Country Club of Columbia was not just a celebration of their love but a testament to the power of connection, family, and the joy that comes from sharing life’s significant moments with those we love.
