Courtney + David

Updated: Jun 28, 2023

Courtney and David are an amazing couple! Both are low-key and not used to being the center of attention, but all eyes were def on them. They love the Chiefs, and Courtney is a Dolphins fan too. Which isn't a surprise because of her love of animals. She's in that final stretch to beginning her career as a Veterinarian and we're all rooting for her. This girl isn't afraid of creepy crawlies! I learned this when I said, "Maybe we shouldn't go into the tall grass since we're near water. There could be baby snakes". She replied, "I'm not worried about snakes." David smiled and nodded watching as I was I wondered what could be worse than snakes. Courtney informed me.

Memorial Day weekend in 2023, family and friends gathered to celebrate this couple. It was a beautiful, sun-shining day, warming everyone with the romantic vibes the venue set.

One of my favorite moments was between Courtney and her Mom. That special moment when it's time to put on the dress and the person, you love, to help you into it. There was love in each button put through the loops, every zip, clip, and pin. And of course, in every embrace they shared.

David was a great groom and is an all-around great guy! You can tell in his actions. If it's in his power, he'll do anything for Courtney. I asked him before the ceremony how he thought he might react when he saw his bride walking down the aisle. This, of course, was after I was telling him how stunning, Courtney looked. He wasn't sure what would happen. I'll tell you what did happen. All the love, emotion, and joy he has for Courtney showed the moment he saw her for the first time. It was a wonderful thing to see.

Courtney and David were fortunate to be surrounded by amazing family and friends. These two also surrounded themselves with a great team of professionals. The whole day was spent at a beautiful venue, Emerson Fields in Excello, MO. It was designed and created by a former photographer. For me, it's a dream location to photograph couples! They had an amazing wedding coordinator, Meagan, with Something Blue O'Fallon. Meagan worked with me to plan the outline of their day and was there in a jiff when needed. Steamer erupted water on the bridesmaids' dresses - no problem. Another mishap that required a glue gun and tape - Meagan handled it.

I'm so grateful I got to be a part of their day, and the journey leading up to their day. I left feeling a lot of joy in my heart and anxious to see the gorgeous images I'd captured. Thank you to you two and the whole family. Hugs!
